Two separate incidents - a mass shooting and a knife attack - in FIFA World Cup host locations have raised safety concerns just days before the tournament begins

Uzbekistan's World Cup manager Fabio Cannavaro, has reacted to the USA's specific security search for his soccer team.

Preparations continue as teams continue to arrive in North America and settle into their base camps, while the 16 host stadiums and cities get set for the massive crowds coming in the next few weeks. The United States men's national team opens its World Cup on June 12 against Paraguay in Los Angeles.

It will be the largest World Cup in history, involving 48 teams and 104 matches across 16 cities in the U.S., Mexico and Canada.
